KOCH Builds Indie-Rock and Urban Roster
(Port Washington, NY) January 23, 2006 – KOCH Entertainment Distribution is pleased to announce that it has signed four new and exclusive labels which include Sidecho Media, Sailor’s Grave Records, Journey Music Group and Paid In Full. KOCH will be the exclusive distributor for each label in North America.
“KOCH is the only truly independent distributor for independent rock and urban music. We welcome these four entrepreneurial indies to our family!”
-Michael Rosenberg/President, KOCH Entertainment Distribution
Since 2001 Sidecho Records has been showcasing and developing melodic rock and “indie” artists. With a diverse roster that started with the power punk band Death On Wednesday, Sidecho has proved to have an honorable ear for good music. With other signings including The Beautiful Mistake, Tokyo Rose, The Pale Pacific and Sherwood, it has been easy for them to find their niche in the industry. Today Sidecho’s roster matures with the indie rock scene, supporting bands such as Charlemagne, Neva Dinova, and the most recent signing Some By Sea. 2006 promises to be another stellar year with artists such as Stars of Track and Field, who present cutting edge digi pop rock. Sidecho looks towards a profitable year as well as another journey into the development of the independent artist. KOCH will also distribute all releases from Sidecho’s group of record labels which includes Cheap Lullaby, Uprising, Anodyne and End Sounds.
“In the spirit of staying wholly independent, I am pleased to announce KOCH Entertainment as our new North America distributor. What better way to commence the New Year than with a relationship with the biggest Independent distributor!”
James Cho/President, Sidecho Records
Sailor’s Grave Records is a brand created to give birth to the soundtracks of life as lived by those with black eyes, bad luck, and bad tattoos. Shunning the bubble-gum veneer of emo and pop punk, the crew of bands that have found a wayward home on the Sailor’s Grave Records roster carry a bad-ass swagger that the punks of yesteryear pioneered. Sailor’s Grave Records will be devoted to the genres of street punk, Oi!, psychobilly, and bad-ass American rock 'n' roll. Forthcoming in 2006 will be releases from the likes of U.S. Bombs, Ducky Boys, Mad Sin, Kings of Nuthin’, Bombshell Rocks, Angel City Outcasts, Mark Lind, The Welch Boys, Born to Lose, and many more.
"Sailor’s Grave Records is extremely excited about the partnership that has been struck with KOCH Entertainment. We eagerly look forward to launching the label in accordance with the knowledge, energy, and experience that the KOCH staff exhibits."
-Sheila King/President, Sailor’s Grave Records

Paid In Full was formed in 2001 by Los Angeles-based businessman, Flaviano Arroyo, as a concert promotion company. Over time, Mr. Arroyo developed an interest in music and film, particularly in the urban genres, and decided to expand his fledgling business. A chance meeting with one of the founders of Bayside Distribution's Urban Music Division, Brandon C. Rodegeb, would lead to a fruitful partnership and a commitment to attack the indie rap and film world with full force.
Paid In Full has an exciting roster for the New Year including a new solo album from GOLD recording artist and rap legend MC Eiht as well as upcoming projects with Southern rap titan Haystak and underground Chicano rap stars Gemini and Fade Dogg. Projects are also in the works with hip-hop aficionado Planet Asia, Smigg Dirtee, and A-Wax.
"We are very excited to be with KOCH. They are the final frontier in distribution for independents and their brand and reputation is synonymous with success."
-Flaviano Arroyo/President, Paid In Full
