KOCH NAMES DIRECTOR OF
LABEL RELATIONS AND NEW MEDIA
(Port Washington, NY) August 1, 2005 – KOCH Entertainment Distribution is pleased to announce that it has appointed music industry veteran Eric Lemasters as Director of Label Relations and New Media. In this newly created position, Lemasters’ primary focus will be to acquire new labels for distribution and to nurture existing relationships with KOCH-distributed labels and identify new opportunities in digital distribution via internet and mobile media. He joins the company today and will report directly to Michael Rosenberg, President of KOCH Entertainment Distribution.
A seasoned music industry professional, Lemasters’ career highlights include working in key roles ranging from A&R to Sales and Marketing at independent labels such as Energy Records, Mechanic Records and Earache Records. In 1998, he launched his own cutting-edge music label, The Music Cartel, which is still active today. In 2003 he entered the world of merchandising with stints at Merchdirect, Blue Grape Merchandising, and most recently, Bravado Merchandising (a division of the Sanctuary Group), where he held the position of Head of New Media and ran the company’s E-Commerce and M-Commerce initiatives.
Other recent expansions in the marketing department at KOCH Entertainment Distribution include the appointment of Ira Miller to the newly created position of Catalog Coordinator and the promotion of Tracy Scott from Coordinator Labels & Marketing to Label Representative.
