KOCH VISION NAMES WALTER SCHMIDT DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
(Port Washington, New York)—January 6, 2005 -- KOCH Vision announced today that it has appointed Walter Schmidt to the position of Director of Marketing effective January 6, 2005. The announcement was made by KOCH Vision General Manager Dan Gurlitz.
Schmidt will oversee the marketing of all KOCH Vision and KOCH Lorber Films releases on home video. Operating out of the company’s Port Washington, NY headquarters, Schmidt will report directly to Gurlitz.

Schmidt joins KOCH Vision following a 6 year stint at Wellspring (formerly Winstar TV & Video), where he served first as a Marketing Manager, and then rose through the ranks to become their Director of Marketing, Home Video.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a B.A. in Humanities, Schmidt resides in Hicksville, New York.
