KOCH EXPANDS PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL ROSTER
(Port Washington, New York) October 18, 2007 – KOCH Entertainment Distribution announced today that is has expanded its physical and digital distribution roster with the signing of five new labels: Immergent, Index Entertainment, Hi Power Entertainment, High Powered Entertainment, and Echo-Vista Music Group. KOCH is the exclusive physical and digital distributor in North America for each label listed, with the exception of Immergent, which is solely a physical distribution deal.

Los Angeles based Immergent is a multi-faceted company firmly committed to its ongoing goal of being a vital force in today’s entertainment industry. The company controls an eclectic catalog of over 450 music and DVD titles ranging from classical music to cutting edge rock, including albums by artists such as Dishwalla, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aaron Neville, Widespread Panic, Dar Williams, Jane Monheit, Joey Ramone, Matchbook Romance, Motion City Soundtrack and Guttermouth. INDEX Entertainment is the newly formed company created by Olympic Recordings (Behemoth, Immolation, Vital Remains) founder Martti Payne. After selling Olympic, Mr. Payne launched INDEX as a vehicle for new music and media. With offices in Austin and Chicago, INDEX Entertainment will initially focus on the genres of rock, metal and hardcore, as well as specialty DVD's. The label's inaugural release will come from NYHC/crossover legends M.O.D. Fronted by the charismatic Billy Milano (S.O.D.), M.O.D.'s new album "Red, White & Screwed" showcases a return to the bands early roots of metal and hardcore merged with edgy social commentary. M.O.D. "Red, White & Screwed" is slated for an October 9th street date. Coming in early 2008, INDEX will release the debut from Tampa's GIGAN, featuring former members of extreme heavyweights Hate Eternal, and Australian hard rock sensation BUGDUST.
Mr. Capone-e, as sole proprietor, launched Hi Power Entertainment seven years ago with his debut CD Last Man Standing and began taking other Latin Rappers under his wing. Hi Power Entertainment Inc. is a full service company with a complete staff to handle everything from concept to street team promotions. The label expects big things with an artist roster featuring Mr. Capone-e, Mr. Criminal, Lil Tweety, Mr. Silent, and finishing off 2007 with Mr. Capone-e “Dedicated 2 The Oldies Part 2,” Lil’ Flip & Mr. Capone-e. For early 2008 the label will release a new Layzie Bone album also Krayzie Bone “Presents,” and many others.
For nearly a decade, John Silva, has represented the Westside to the fullest. The sole mastermind and CEO for High Powered Entertainment, Silva has worked for over 20 years in the music business as a rapper, producer and label entrepreneur. The label has a stellar track record producing classic projects featuring west coast rap legends Spice 1, Daz Dillinger, The Oultawz, C-Bo and Yukmouth, producing 14.5 albums in less than 3 years. While Silva has single handedly laid the foundation and geared the thriving Indie to the next level, he has now expanded his team to include top bosses in production, promotion and publicity. First established in London by Jeffrey Collins in the 70’s, Echo-Vista Music Group would move its operations to New Jersey in 1985 before making its home in Florida in 2003. The Echo-Vista Sounds & Dancefloor record labels, known mainly for its underground 12” hip hop and R&B releases and large catalog of Reggae, Jazz & House Music, will be releasing new albums by KRS-ONE, AHMIR, MARCUS ALLEN and English rap group, NO-X-CUSE in the near future. Two separate solo Albums by EURICKA & CALVIN RICHARDSON, who, as a duo, recently released a remake of “On My Own” on the Echo-Vista label, are also currently being completed for possible release in early 2008. All of the label’s physical albums will be distributed through KOCH in North America and will be made available through KOCH’s digital distribution for the world.
